When working with bank undergoing digital transformation, we faced the challenge of migrating more than 80 SOA services to a cloud microservices structure.
Bank sector is one of the most consolidated market segments in Brazil, but with the increasing competition caused by the fintechs, the banks needed to update their offers.
In this context, this bank adopted the strategy to offer its credit products by means of its own digital channels, and also through partnerships, such as fintechs and platforms.
To support this vision, it was necessary to restructure the entire bank software infrastructure, migrating from a SOA structure to microservices. This process was gradually performed without interrupting operations, and allowed that the new structure to be able to dynamically support transactions and inflows exponential increases.
The solution developed created technological foundations for the new bank’s positioning, reducing significant operational costs and increasing activities speed with integrations.
The business generated by this change quickly placed the company in a new level, being one of the main digital transformation cases in the financial sector in Brazil.
Main technologies used were Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio.
